A colour-coded standard time zones map illustrating global time zones.

Using the Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) as the basis for reference time scale, the numbers below the country names indicate whether to add or subtract the number to UTC in order to obtain the local time of that country. Countries are colour coded and time zones boundary lines are used to simplify this understanding further. Clocks at the bottom of the map indicate the standard time in zone when UTC is 12 noon.

Smaller countries or countries in congested areas are identified using their official International Organization for Standardization (ISO) country codes with a list of abbreviations provided below the map.

In addition, an inset map indicates those time zone areas that apply, or have previously applied, daylight saving time, and those time zone areas that have never done so.
